I had the opportunity to attend the PA North Central Pheasants Forever Chapter 630 youth safety day on September 24th, 2017. Chapter 630 covers Elk county and all surrounding counties. This non-profit conservation organization is highly dedicated to our youth and our veterans, while keeping pheasant hunting alive and well through their mission statement of Continue reading →
Last night, my mother stopped out for a surprise visit to introduce my family to my new fur brother. He is an eight-week-old German Shepherd named Ruger. My mother had just picked him up earlier in the day and couldn’t wait for us to meet him.
My family and I have a little, cozy cabin up in northern Pennsylvania that we really enjoy going to as often as we can. We see different kinds of wildlife on our drive there and at the camp too. We can see bear, different kinds of birds, as well as other wildlife. When we head Continue reading →
Today marks the fourth year since the passing of Buddy. We got Buddy when I was only 8 years old and he was my best friend growing up. Being an only child in a single parent family, where my dad worked 10 hour days and had two hour of computing left me only with Buddy Continue reading →

On a Friday, I started casually looking at shelter dogs on PetFinder.com. That Monday, I brought Evander home from the Indiana County Humane Society. He’s a White German Shepherd/Lab mix and about a year old.
These photos are from a January 20th pheasant hunt sponsored by Lion Country Supply. Shown in the photographs are my two hunting partners, Tucker (black lab) and Lucy (Springer) and myself. It was wet, foggy, and 50 degrees. Highly unusual for Pennsylvania in January but made for great scenting and the dogs performed admirably.
