I get calls quite frequently from pet owners of very small breed dogs. These owners all seem to have the same basic dilemma: “How do I keep good control and teach proper behavior in an off-lead situation?” (For example, in the ever-popular Dog Park scenario.)
I tell them immediately that their best bet is the Lap Dog Trainer. The collar is light and compact enough for most of the small breeds, except maybe the “Tea Cup Chihuahua”.
Our Pomeranian house dogs are in the 8-12 pound class and the unit has worked very well for us. Some of the “big box” stores have some other brands of small-breed collars which I have tried and found lacking in quality and dependability.
For the price, quality, dependability, ease-of-operation, I think the SD70 is a great choice for owners of smaller dogs.
